Modus . Mood

London seams to be the city where everything happens. For the first time in my entire life, I am aware of the fashion trends months before they even come out. To be honest, it never really occurred to me how did designers do it. The brilliant capacity of designing collections years before being showcased looked just like magic to me and always made me wonder if they had some kind of magical power or the ability to predict the future.

It is only now, as a fashion student, that I am finally starting to understand how everything works together in such a logical way. I was aware of the existence of PR companies, but somehow always linked their work only with events or celebrities.
However, PR companies play a major role when it comes to the fashion world. They are the ones that provide brands innovative and effective media access, as well as creative brand strategies to position their clients in the best way possible inside the market.

This last week, I had the pleasure to visit the MODUS Publicity headquarters in London, Heddon Street. It was a student trip with the London College of Style team, which made the whole experience even more interesting. We had a complete tour of the offices as well as an inside lecture showing how everything works. The Modus team made sure that as emerging stylist, we understood the importance of creating good relationships with PR firms, because at the end of the day there is always a win-win situation. Afterwards, we were able to have a sneak peek of the next season collections of their clients, showcased on their showroom. As a successful PR company they definitely strive for excellence and quality and that's one of the main reasons why they are able to maintain a good client base which includes brands as; Akris, Calvin Klein and Etro. I hope you enjoy my captures on the magical land of MODUS.

FYI - PR stands for Public Relations and you can find more information about MODUD here.
